Sverdlovsk state academic drama theatre in Ekaterinburg

One of the leading theaters in Russia opened on 2 October 1930. Repertoire of dramatic theater in Ekaterinburg was opened in 1930 and till 1990, he worked at the address Weiner street, 10. In the first years on the stage of theatre played honored artists of the RSFSR M. Betsky, A. Georgievskaya, B. Ordynskiy and others. In 1977, the theatre received an academic rank, and in 1990 moved to a new building on Oktyabrskaya square.

Interesting fact that the architect Vitaly Loskutov, fountain "Ball" near the Theatre of drama symbolizes the pure planet, washed by streams of clear water. Originally it was plannedto put on a 40-ton ball engraving with the contours of the continents. Fountain and square in front of the theater is the favorite place of leisure of youth. In the people this place is called simply "drama".
