The Church of John the Baptist in Rezh

The Church of "John the Baptist" is located on the highest point of the city - Orlova mountain, situated on the right Bank of the river Rezh. The Church was built in Russian-Byzantine style. It is a rectangular building with rounding on the Eastern side of the apse and the main entrance doors on the Western side. In the middle of the rectangle are four powerful pillars supporting the dome. The church of similar construction are also called four-pillar cross-domed Church.
