Museum-reserve "Metallurgical Ural"

A peculiar treasure the memory of history and cultural traditions of the city is a significant network of museums and exhibition halls. The beginning of the Museum business was in 1840, when by order of Pavel Demidov was created "Museum of natural history and antiquities", one of the oldest provincial museums of Russia. History of Nizhniy Tagil metallurgical district versatile presented in the Nizhniy Tagil state Museum-reserve "Metallurgical Ural", which United 16 museums and objects located on the territory of the Metallurgical district. Part of the Museum-reserve includes ten museums located in Nizhniy Tagil and beyond, including: Nizhniy Tagil historical Museum, Museum of nature and environmental protection, Memorial and literary Museum of A.P. Bondina, the Literary-memorial Museum D.N. Mamin-Sibiryak (village Visim), local lore Museum of Nizhnyaya Salda (the city of Nizhnyaya Salda), Mineralogical Museum named after A.E. Fersman (Murzinka village). Also part of the Museum-reserve includes the Exhibition of open storage of funds (Lower provision warehouses), Exhibition of bulky exhibits, House rare books (on local history library) and the Main quarry of Vysokogorskiy mining and processing plant.
