Passage of Irbit

Passage building for people of Irbit like the Eiffel tower for the Parisians, the main symbol of the city and the old Irbit fair. The reason for the construction of the Passage was a proposal entrepreneur Golovin give theatrical fair representation not in a private house,but in theater room. To the fair season of 1864 on the Main square of Irbit was the opening of new building of the Passage. The passage was called Nevskiy prospect of Irbit. It still performs the function main shopping center of the city. Well-preserved internal structure of the three-storey building resembles Moscow GUM in miniature. Passage adorns by the flag of the Russian Federation, as in the XIX century the building was a Russian flag on the "flutter" of which was judged on the success of the upcoming fair various trade delegations.
