Church of the Escalation of the Holy Cross in Verhoturye

Church of the Escalation of the Holy Cross (1905-1913) is the largest monastery Church of all, built before the revolution of 1917. The Cathedral is the third largest in Russia after the Cathedral of Christ the Savior (Moscow) and Saint Isaac's Cathedral (St. Petersburg). The exaltation of the cross Church was built for the 300 anniversary of the Romanov dynasty. In the Church there is a unique porcelain iconostasis.
