The cave «Druzhba»

The cave is located on the right slope of Fedotov Log, on the left bank of the river Serga 4 km from station Bazhukovo. It was mentioned at first time in the description of A. Baranovskiy at the end of the 20th century. He described the main course with a length of 100 m. In 1958 students of Sverdlovsk pedagogical Institute made the plan of the cave. Later speleologists conducted semi-instrumental survey. The cave lies in light and dense limestone. Benk with a depth of up to 1 meter, it's decline to 20 degrees, in the left part they are almost horizontal. The width of the log is about 60 m, the height of the entrance over the bottom of the log is 3 m. The entrance is a large arch height of about 4 m and a width of 6 m. At the entrance there is a horizontal ground, where starts the descent on scree to the right grotto (grotto Baranovsky), which is a corridor, which stretches to the North-West. After 50 m grotto expands to the hall of meeting of speleologists, and on the left stretches the stone scree. In 65 meters from the entrance there is an interesting three-tier grotto called Etazherka. Its three levels appeared obviously at different time of cave formation.The lower level watered, there is a lake with area of 50 m2.

Steep screes with many cracks, one of which leads to the second exit from the cave. To the right leaves a narrow corridor in which all year round saved ice sinters. The corridor was called "Marble gallery", as the walls are built of white dolomite. Further is situated the grotto of the Pedagogical Institute with many interesting stalactites.To the left leaves the way to the grotto of Kasters. In the South-Eastern part of the gallery stretched on the crack lake, near another small lake. In the North-Western corner of the gallery there is a ledge, overcoming which you can get to the grotto Prizivkinov, where also situated a small pond. Climbing the North wall of the grotto, you can Wade in the abovementioned grotto of Pedagogical Institute. In this grotto there is a second entrance to the cave. It is located at the bottom of a small sinkholes. The water level in the lakes of the cave is increased in spring , and in the rest of the year is almost constant. The high water depth of the lake reaches 7 m.

Observations allow us to conclude that all lakes of the cave are connected to each other and presented a single system of underground water circulation. Deposits in caves and holes are mainly clay mass, gravel and small calcite sinters. The microclimate if the cave is peculiar, the temperature in different parts can vary widely in the same time. In winter, the lakes and rivers freeze, produces a lot of ice stalagmites of the most diverse forms. Cave "Druzhba" is one of the most beautiful caves in the area, the place of wintering of bats, site of the polpe of an epoch of a neolith. On the arches of the cave you can see fossils of ancient marine organisms living in the sea 300 - 400 million years ago.
