The rocks of Pyotr Gronsky
Rocks of Pyotr Gronsky (they are the same Petrogrom) are about 3 km to the Northwest from the station Iset ( direction railway road Nizhny Tagil), or in 1-1,5 km to the South-West railway platform "479 km". Cliffs crowned the top of the same name mountain.
As to the origin of the name of the mountain and the rocks there are several opinions:
1. On behalf of the revolutionary Pyotr Gronsky. In Soviet times was spread information that around rocks revolutionary-minded workers, led by the Pyotr Gronsky held may day, and learned to shoot, in short, was preparing for the upcoming fight for the bright future. Here they hid their weapons. However, no confirmative document historians couldn't find. No information even about the work and the revolutionary Petr Gronsky. The only thing that managed to learn in the beginning of XX century at the station Iset lived a man by the name of Pyotr Gronsky. But in those revolutionary years he was a teenager and the revolutionary events was not involved. So this is nothing more than a myth, invented by Soviet propagandists.
2. Besause of the lightnings like this mountain. Proponents of this version is called the rock Petrogrom, or the Thunder-Stone (the name was first proposed by the archaeologist Elizabeth M. Bers). According to Isetj old-timers, it is by these rocks to Iset often come thunderstorms and lightning seemed to attract the mountain.
3. In honor of Peter the Thunderer - Trustee of metallurgists. Archeologists have proved that here long metal was melted...
Rock stretched from East to West, the most high in the Eastern part. The greatest height of the rocks is 15 M. The imagination extending up two stone columns. Standing at the foot, involuntarily admire the vagaries of nature. From the summit opens a picturesque view of the surrounding mountains and ridges, covered with green taiga. On weekends there is always a lot of tourists.
