Sverdlovsk state academic theatre of musical Comedy in Ekaterinburg

The first theatrical season was opened with the performance "Rose Marie" in 1933. The theatre is one of the leading in Russia. On its stage for the first time in the country were put musicals of foreing authors. Nowadays the creative life of the theatre is directed on further development of modern musical, fresh reading of Western and Russian musical classics. The performances of the theater of musical Comedy is awarded the "Golden mask" over a dozen times.
