The historical museum of Nizhneturinsk

Founded on October 31, 1965 as the national Museum. Now is the branch GUK "Sverdlovsk regional local lore Museum". The Museum is situated in the historical part of the city in the former administration building of Nizhneturinskiy ironworks. The Museum has a rich exhibition of history of Nizhnyaya Tura and region, paleontological collection, formed on the basis of the findings in the territory Nizhneturinskoj district.Thel large exposition is devoted to the history of gold mining on Isovskiye mines, construction and operation of the ironworks. Sections of the exposition on the history of the arms factory, and Nikolaev's correctional detention ward are very interesting.
