The historical Museum of Arti
The historical Museum of Arti is a branch of the Sverdlovsk regional Museum. The Museum's exposition is situated in six rooms, which acquaint visitors with a certain historical stage life of the village. In 1884 scientist A. P. Karpinsky discovered and described Arti's tier of permian period (about 240-250 million years ago). With this description in the Museum begins acquaintance with the natural history of the region. In the first hall of the Museum exposed the most ancient exhibits, among which exhibited spiral tooth body of ancient shark gelikopriona. Here you can get acquainted with the natural features of the vilage Arti of ice age and with the modern features of nature the surroundings of the village Arti. Big place in the exhibition takes the unique natural monument: mount Kashkabad (second name - Roman's shaft) and Siberian reserve of dark coniferous broad-leaved forests. Ethnic section of the Museum enlightens the history of exploration of the region and life of the peoples living on the territory of the Urals. Here you can see the clothes and household items of Maris, Tatars, Russians. The special section devoted to the history of village Arti. Visitors can see the village in the time of its Foundation. You can see presents clothing, furniture, dishes of the turn of XIX - XX centuries. Two halls of the Museum illustrates the history of OAO "Artinskiy zavod". The last hall tells about the wars of the XX century, the participation of residents of Arti in these events.
