The project of excursion educational routes “Ural for school”
Sverdlovsk region has a high tourist potential. On its territory are concentrated unique natural and recreational resources, objects of national, world cultural and historical heritage.
Educational routes around the homeland help in fostering respect for the historical heritage of the peoples of Russia, shaping the skills of using historical knowledge to understand the essence of contemporary social phenomena, and develop the social horizon. The formation of ideas about geography, primary competences of using the territorial approach, the peculiarities of nature, life, culture and economic activity of people, environmental problems occurs during excursions in their native land. In addition, during excursions, students have the opportunity to get acquainted with various professions, which greatly expands their understanding of the future choice of their professional destiny.
In this regard, on the initiative and with the support of the Ministry of Investments and Development of the Sverdlovsk Region and on the order of the Tourism Development Center of the Sverdlovsk Region, sets of educational guidelines were developed based on the content of the educational standard and curriculum programs. Educational routes are divided into classes from 1 to 11 classes and meaningfully include three blocks (autumn, winter, spring).
The results of the work were 11 sets of teaching materials, including 33 excursion educational routes for students of educational institutions of the Sverdlovsk region.
Unique data sets can be called for the following reasons:
– Each excursion educational route includes the main attractions of the territories and allows you to fully get acquainted with the features (specifics) of the Sverdlovsk region and with all its diversity in accordance with the main educational programs in the municipal educational organizations of the Sverdlovsk region.
– The educational-methodical manual is complete and sufficient for the route, as it includes: a list of services provided to tourists, a list and description of objects of display, taking into account the educational program, a list of leisure activities designed to consolidate information, collective accommodation facilities, food facilities, and much more.
– Workbooks are colorful illustrated albums containing various creative tasks, riddles and puzzles for independent work of pupils of the corresponding class, designed in accordance with the age characteristics of children.
– The catalog is an illustrated advertising booklet containing brief information about each of the 33 routes for promotion by tourism professionals.
